Hullo! A belated Happy New Year. Some 2013 news; March 18th sees the debut EP ‘Eyes’ from Bristol’s Glis Glis released worldwide on Sink & Stove.

Glis Glis are Obaro (drums), Brian (guitars and vocals) and Suzi (keyboards and vocals). Their sound, while hard to pigeonhole, has been described as “an effervescent keyboard-driven indie sheen that mixes poppiness with an almost Beefheartian quirkiness submerged neatly beneath the tunes” (Unwashed Territories). The EP comes hot on the tail of their performances at Green Man Festival, and radio play on BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing. As Bristol’s Venue magazine puts it, “A blur of 60s girl pop, ‘Paris’-era John Cale, new wave from both sides of the Atlantic, as thrilling as it is singular”.

Recorded by Aron Ward (Raiders) and mastered by Ali Chant (Termites, Toybox Studios), the release of the ‘Eyes’ EP also celebrates thirteen years of Sink & Stove Music in Bristol.

The title track is available in advance of release as a free download now from the Sink & Stove Soundcloud.

The band is hosting a launch party at The Croft, Bristol on Saturday 23rd March with support from Bravo Brave Bats and other special guests where a limited CD edition of the EP will be available.

A recent interview with the band can be found on the ace Drunken Werewolf site.
